Crowd funding is a new way of funding a project or venture by raising money from a large number of people who each contribute a relatively small amount, typically via the internet.

The Copalana ecosystem makes it easy for individuals to create fund raising campaigns, and also provide pro-bono services to the non-profits. Corporates can create closed user groups to manage their portfolio of non-profits they wish to work with.

The ecosystem is also open to the public and engaged individuals can take part of our growing community.

Projects, which are supporting the global Sustainable Development Goals.

A project is a clearly defined endeavor of an NPO or a private individual supported by an NPO (only possible with I care for you), which has been approved by one of our partners for crowdfunding. Projects are reviewed to assess their goals, strategy and reliability. With a campaign, individuals or groups can support a project. In doing so, you define your own donation target in order to support the overall project. The message can be ideally disseminated with the launch of a social media campaign.

When financing a fixed project, the money collected will only be transferred to the NPO if the project has reached the defined funding target within the set deadline. Therefore, your credit card will only be charged for financing a fixed project if the project has been successfully funded. Funding an open project allows the NPO to access the collected donation money, regardless of the project's funding target. If an open project is funded, your card will be charged once the funding period has expired.

You can secure your support easily and securely with the credit card or via Twint.

No, you do not have to pay any credit card fees. Normally you will be charged a 2-5% charge for each transaction. Because of our collaboration with our partners and Six Financials, neither you nor the NPO need to cover these fees.

Yes! 100% of your money goes to the project you support - we do not charge any fees at all. This is possible because of the collaboration with our Corporate partners who support our platform.

Copalana protects your personal information. We neither share nor sell your information to third parties, including your employer. If you start or support a project with one of our partners, they will get access to your information.

You can print a tax receipt for your contributions to a project from your dashboard. The tax regulations vary depending on country, state / canton and region. You must therefore ask your local tax authority if this receipt is accepted. You may need to send the tax receipt to the NPO so they can use their logo to print an official document that you can use for prints.

When a project reaches its funding target in the given time, you will receive notification that the selected project has been successfully funded. The NPO will inform you about the project progress via your personal dashboard.
