Go the Distance 2022 – Vistula source to sea
Together with UK colleagues we would like to invite you to a fitness challenge that covers virtual travel from one end of the country to the other. In 2021 as one EMEA group we set up ourselves a new target to collectively and virtually travel through the participating branches - a total of over 4000 km (2500miles)! This year in Poland we want to cover distance of Polish main river – Vistula.
Participants of all athletic ability are encouraged to take part. You set your own distance, in your local area over the seven days, and you decide whether you cover it all in one go or spread it out over the week. You can run/ jog / walk/ swim / cycle (the only condition is that you will be able to count your distance). No distance is too big or too small – one mile a day, an ultra-marathon and everything in between, the choice is yours. No times, no pressure, just challenge yourself.
Setting ourselves a new target to collectively and virtually travel along the Vistula river: from the river source in the mountains to the Baltic Sea - a total of over 1047 km (651miles)! Collective distance will be tracked using the app Strava – this is free, available worldwide and on Apple or Android phones. The event will start on Monday 20 June and finish on Friday 24 June.
Registration is a suggested donation of 20PLN.
It would be great if friends, family and colleagues could support you in your efforts and contribute to charity as sponsorship. This will help fund Charity of the Year – EKOSTRAZ.
The modernization of Ekostraz premises, including building renovation and the provision of medical equipment.
The aim is for all participants to fundraise for the Credit Suisse charity of the year in their offices/home offices. Also family and friends are more than welcome to support.
